Dick “Juiceman” Lochan is a popular Toronto-based award-winning calypsonian, composer, emcee, actor,  teacher, and writer with close ties to his native Trinidad.

He composes music for his own performances as well as several other calypsonians, and instructs  children and youths in the Calypso and Soca artform. He does this as a Tutor and Co-Director of the “Pass The Torch” Cultural Arts Program in Toronto which has produced six (6) CDs of original calypso/soca music to date.

He ran one of the first Calypso Tents in Toronto and was also a performer and producer of the very successful CALYPSO TORONTO  Showcase, a bi-monthly cabaret-style calypso presentation which ran for five years and  which often featured Dick as one of its star attractions. He continues to be in demand to perform in and around Toronto and has released a very well received CD “JUICEMAN”, of his most requested calypsos, and most recently, a Christmas CD “The Best Of The Season” of original parangsoca hits and old-time Christmas calypso seasonal favorites.

Lochan has three books that attempt to unravel the mysteries of Caribbean dialect: Doh Make Joke, published in 1986, Feh True, which was printed in 1989 and So It Go, published in 2008
