Anjelica Scannura is Co-Artistic Director of Ritmo Flamenco is proud to be a newly elected board member of Dance Ontario.  A dancer since she was very young, she began her dance training at Canada’s National Ballet School.  Anjelica’s main love is flamenco although she is an accomplished and versatile dancer, having studied many forms of dance throughout her life.  Anjelica’s passion for middle-eastern rhythms led her to study with Yasmina Ramzy of Arabesque Dance Company.  Her special brand of flamenco/Arabic fusion named Zambra Mora is unique to Anjelica and she is an innovator of this new fusion that is making waves in North America and Europe.  Anjelica is also an accomplished actress who has appeared in Disney productions, Canadian TV, commercials (Scotiabank, Swiss Chalet) and TIFF 2009 feature “Manson, My Name is Evil.”
