Enuma is a vocalist, composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays an organic blend of r&b, blues, folk rock, and jazz. The name Enuma means “the heavens know” in Igbo and as an artist who hails from Kitchener, Ontario and has settled in the multicultural landscape of Toronto, she proudly draws from her Jamaican and African roots for inspiration.
Enuma has taken huge strides in her young career. Her music has been played on CIUT 89.5 FM, she has graced the stages of iconic venues and local festivals such as Live Green Toronto and the 106 & York Urban Arts Festival; as well as the internationally renowned Redpath Waterfront Tall Ships Festival and Afrofest. In addition, she is sought after as an artist who intuitively combines genres without compromising the essence of their sound and has worked with such critically-acclaimed artists as Waleed Abdulhamid (Waleed Kush African Jazz Ensemble).
In her endeavour to promote the art of live music, Enuma has successfully organized shows to spotlight independent artists and is the founder of Womyn of Indigo, a grassroots collective comprised of emerging female musicians and poets who infuse sound and word to convey an unique live performance experience.
Enuma has quickly developed a repertoire that connects with people from all walks of life, and a reputation for delivering passionate performances time and again. She is currently taking steps to share her music across Canada and abroad: join her on her journey.
